This Privacy Policy explains how DreamChrome LLC (“DreamChrome,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you visit this website or use the apps we publish. If you do not agree with it, please do not use our website or apps.

1. Who and what this covers

This policy covers two things: the DreamChrome website at dreamchrome.com, and the apps we build and publish on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Some apps also have their own privacy notice with extra detail. Where an app's own notice and this policy differ, the app's notice applies for that app.

2. What we collect

The website

The website has no accounts, no sign-up, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking cookies. We do not set cookies of our own. Our hosting provider (Google Firebase Hosting) keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of each request, which it uses to keep the site running and secure. We do not use those logs to identify you.

The apps

What an app collects depends on the app. Depending on which one you use, we may collect:

  • Account details you give us, such as an email address or name, if the app lets you create an account.
  • Content you create in the app, such as the entries, lists, or settings you save.
  • Usage and diagnostic data, such as which features you use and crash reports, so we can fix bugs and improve the app.
  • Device information, such as device model, operating system version, and a device or installation identifier.
  • Purchase information for in-app purchases or subscriptions, which is handled by the app stores. We receive a record of the purchase, not your full payment details.

The exact list for each app is shown in that app's store listing (Apple's “App Privacy” label and Google Play's “Data safety” section) and in the app itself.

3. How we use it

We use the information above to:

  • provide, run, and maintain the website and apps;
  • save your content and settings and sync them where the app offers that;
  • answer your questions and provide support;
  • fix bugs, prevent abuse, and keep things secure;
  • improve our products; and
  • meet our legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Legal bases (for users in the EEA and UK)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on these legal bases: performing our contract with you (to provide an app you signed up for), your consent (where we ask for it), our legitimate interests (to keep our products secure and working well), and compliance with the law.

5. When we share it

We share information only in these cases:

  • Service providers who run things on our behalf, such as hosting, backend infrastructure, crash reporting, and email. Today that includes Google (Firebase Hosting and Google Cloud). They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
  • The app stores (Apple and Google), which handle app distribution and payments under their own privacy policies.
  • Legal reasons, if we are required to by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
  • A business transfer, if the company or an app is ever sold or merged, in which case we will let affected users know.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it. If you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days, except for anything we must keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, export it, or object to certain uses. To make a request, email us at hello@dreamchrome.com. We will respond within the time the law requires. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Deleting your data

You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time. See Delete your account and data for how to do it, including the apps that let you delete your account directly in settings.

10. Children

Our apps are made for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we ever publish an app made specifically for children, its store listing and its own notice will say so, and that app will follow the rules that apply, such as the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the app stores' families policies. If you believe a child has given us personal information that they should not have, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International users

We are based in Virginia, USA. If you use our website or apps from elsewhere, your information may be processed in countries with different data protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above, and for significant changes we will give notice in the app or on this site. Continuing to use our website or apps after a change means you accept the updated policy.
